Head - Corporate Supply Chain Management - IT hardware/Firmware/Bulk Engineering & Construction Items (20-22 yrs)
Job purpose :
Coordinates with :
Procurement/SCM Initiators and Function Heads from Corporate and HO departments
Procurement/SCM initiators and Functional Heads from ICs across L&T Group
Top/Senior personnel of corporate functions like Legal, CIT, T&H, PGM, Corporate F&A, Internal Controls, SSC, CHR etc.
Top/senior personnel of vendor organizations
Duties and responsibilities :
- Leading and mentoring the team of CSCM Buyers
- Evaluation of quotations and negotiations with vendors for Contract and PO finalization
- Coordination with procurement personnel from ICs/SBGs/SBUs for desired purchase/spend data and vendor and category wise analysis as deemed fit
- Capturing and effectively leveraging market and cost trends
Qualifications :
B.E/B.Tech; MBA (with specialization in supply chain/logistic/shipping preferred)
Min 20 years of work exp in procurement and purchase
Areas of Exposure :
- Proven track record of balancing large scale consolidated purchase and long term contract strategies across a variety of product categories (including IT hardware/firmware and bulk engineering and construction items)
- Hands on familiarity with price discovery and business analytics tool & techniques
- High level negotiation ability with win-win approach
- Commercial acumen including national/international taxation and working knowledge on forex variation, hedging and de-risking techniques
- Dynamically sensitive to global market and cost trends of important product categories used across the company
