Head - Center of Competence - Logistics

Looking for Head - COC at AVP grade with one of the leading Logistic Firm at Mumbai.

This is a highly challenging and promising role as it offers the applicant a holistic opportunity to understand the business, and play a key role in various strategic and operational decisions.

This is a regional role (Asia-Pacific) and the CoC will directly come under the Vice President – Operations, Singapore. The role will focus on India for the first 6-9 months.

The key responsibilities will be:

- Create and implement clear SOPs (Standard operating procedures) across all hubs, branches and warehouses

- Help design the Operations Organization structure for India and the broader region – Identify vacant positions, design job descriptions for various roles

- Train employees at various levels on best practices (e.g. Lean)

- Design KPIs for warehouses, delivery networks and help monitor them at various levels

- Conduct deep dive analysis of performance of individual branches and hubs, define and implement corrective actions with guidance from senior Operations personnel

- Lead and implement various improvement initiatives to improve service quality, delivery efficiency, cost etc.

- Implement IT systems to ensure better quality, cost and delivery efficiency

Qualifications:

- MBA or Advanced Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management

Industry :

Candidates from Courier/eCommerce/logistics/Warehousing industry will be preferred.

Candidate who are in consulting for Logistics companies and are in process re-engineering may also apply.
