Head - Business Intelligence - BFSI

The Business Intelligence Leader will be responsible for driving the successful realization of assigned growth initiatives. This requires both a strategic and tactical eye to connect projects and programs to targeted growth initiatives. The BI Leader will ensure resources are aligned to meet the needs of the initiatives to help identify and prioritize opportunities. In addition, this individual will play an integral role to identify opportunities to leverage assets and expose its capabilities to other markets.

The role reports into the India Country Leader. This is part of Senior Leadership Team tasked with formulation and execution of the India strategy combing Analytics and Bureau businesses.

Desired traits

Total of 12-15 years of experience including:

- 6-8 years of experience and demonstrated proficiency in BI delivery and Project Management

- 5+ years of current/recent senior leadership experience in progressive technology organizations / IT Units within BFSI organizations

- Knowledge & experience in Technical Architecture, design & delivery of high-velocity analytics and business intelligence solutions

- Knowledge & understanding of various process related to analytics and business intelligence domain

- Additional experience in Bid Management, Relationship Management, Presales, Business Development, Contract Management, Team Management, Client Facing role

- Candidates working in BFSI sector / having prior experience of Business Intelligence in BFSI would be preferred

- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to present complex concepts at a senior leadership level

- Results-orientated leadership with strong negotiation, responsiveness, collaboration, and consensus building experience

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to quickly interpret a client's requirements; design & build proof of concept applications under tight timescales

- Ability to think on your feet to solve complex, client specific, technical issues

- Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree in related field preferred

- The BI Delivery Leader will work with the sales leader to ensure we are monitoring and changing our sales strategy as needed.

- Analyze trends and markets and keep an eye on the competition, new ways to grow business, - out-of-box- thinker.

- Identify/communicate industry trends and translate those into opportunities

- Provide oversight for the strategy and related business cases for all activities related to BI delivery.

- 20% - 30% of the time

- Knowledge of Business Intelligence and / or Database platforms - SQL Server, Oracle, SAP etc.

- Pre-sales / customer facing experience with product demonstrations & proof of concepts of a software product (QlikView, Tableau, MS BI Stack, Cognos, Business Objects, OBIEE, MicroStrategy or similar)

- Experience in relevant applications, relational database, web and client server technology
