Description - The role is for Heading a Business Development function for one of the largest Retail Players in the country.

The organization has been growing aggressively over last 10 years both organically and inorganically and now they have even more extensive growth plans till 2020 and hence the role of a Business Development is the most critical for the organization to help it achieve its growth plans and expand its footprint in the country

Client Details :

Our client is one of the largest premium retail players in the country with Pan India Presence. The organization is known for its culture, aggressive growth and innovation. It has redefined the retail market in India. Continuing its journey of growth, they are looking for an excellent driven candidate who can accelerate the journey of growth for them.

Description :

Reporting into the CEO of the organization, you will be responsible for :

- Leading a high potential team of business development individuals in real estate sites identification, market prioritization, negotiations and signing of the term sheets.

- Lead the due diligence of all the sites

- Lead and own the real state growth and business development strategy for next 3-5 years

- Grow the presence in the Indian market by tying up with developers, realtors and other retail real estate players

- Increasing the penetration within Metro and Tier-I cities while expanding the presence in tier II cities while considering the possibility of expansion in Tier-III cities as well

- Management of the complete BD and property department and the satisfactory delivery of all its tasks

- Ensuring appropriate resources are available to manage the function and all projects in the department from start to finish.

- Maintaining an up-to-date awareness and understanding of all frameworks, guidelines and initiatives issued and ensuring these are communicated to her/his co-workers and external partners when needed.

- Being the main speaking partner with all decision-makers regarding property-related businesses in the city councils as well as local and state governments.

- All property investment budgets, forecasts and follow-ups.

Profile :

The candidate should have over 20 years of total experience with over 10 years in the real state acquisition and business development function. The candidate currently should be in the functional head role where he should be heading the entire business development function.

The candidates should come from a retail, retail leasing service, hospitality background
