Job Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the overall growth, revenue and profitability of the business (Assets and Liabilities - Retail including micro finance and agri. Will also provide oversight to teams engaged in product development, retail(including micro finance) banking operations and credit control.
Strategy :
- Develop the Branch Banking strategy in line with the corporate strategy to ensure alignment with other interfacing divisional strategies across the bank in collaboration with Head - Business
- Develop and oversee the implementation of Branch banking policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of Branches activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers
- Oversee the consolidation and recommend the Branches- budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon
Product Development and Management :
- Ensure overall growth, revenue & profitability of the Retail (including microfinance)and Agri banking product portfolio
- Responsible for support in product development, policy, systems and processes, marketing and driving sales of all Retail Asset and Liability (including Microfinance) and Agri. business in the Bank
- Provide inputs to products team in identification of new product requirements as per business plans and market intelligence to address any possible gaps in the product offerings of the Bank
- Approve medium and long term product plans through analysis of customer feedback, market intelligence etc.
- Ensure continuous development of new and innovative asset & liability products to meet the requirements of different customer segments
- Ensure penetration of new and innovative asset & liability products in new customer segments while consolidating the existing customer base
- Track product performance of all new products and make modifications (if required) based on feedback received from various internal and external stakeholders
Retail (including Microfinance) and Agri. Banking Business :
- Lead the development of business strategy for the Retail(including microfinance) and Agri. business in consultation with senior management
- Oversee all operational activities of Retail (including microfinance) and Agri. banking business line including branch network covering all branches and customer service points
- Ensure successful service delivery and end-to-end customer satisfaction for retail (including microfinance)and Agri. banking business operations
- Oversee operations pertaining to assets and liabilities such as disbursals, account opening, customer communication and dispatch, customer servicing operations, collateral administration, etc.
- Liaison with local authorities, government departments, Asset and Liability clients, MSME clients, high net worth individuals etc.
- Work closely with MSME and Institutional banking teams to ensure functional objectives and provide oversight to teams for the same
- Supervise the implementation of agreed SLAs for assets and liabilities such as lead generation, customer servicing, anti-attrition, etc.
- Ensure that the products or services the Bank provides are fit for purpose, consistent and meet both external and internal requirements
- Conduct regular follow-ups with sales team to supervise performance against targets
- Identify and mitigate risks in identified processes and operational activities
Credit Policy and Process :
- Review and recommend modifications to the Bank's Retail(including microfinance)and Agri. Banking credit policy and process
- Support the identification and implementation of improvement opportunities in the credit disbursal process
- Oversee analysis of credit data to determine risk involved in extending credit in collaboration with credit and credit risk team
- Support the growth in asset portfolios in a prudent manner and enhance sales to good accounts
- Responsible for active participation in the design, implementation and validation of models used in the credit rating process
People :
- Ensure that the employees within the division maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, integrity, and control in execution of all their daily operations
- Drive a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members
- Take overall responsibility for identification of training needs and completion of mandatory training programs/certifications for self and reporters
- Mentor and coach subordinates to develop the team's capabilities and build a robust succession pipeline
- Ensure that the all the departments reporting to him/her are adequately staffed as per the manpower requirements
- Ensure high level of employee engagement and retention of key performers.
Qualification: Graduation in Finance or equivalent/ PGDM / MBA
