Job Description : Head - Accounts

Purpose : Responsible for preparing and maintaining statutory books of accounts, handling audit related matters. Also responsible for managing financial reporting processes, ensuring monthly financial closing including financial and operations MIS, tracking actual vs. budgets business unit wise and variance analysis

Key Responsibilities:

- Overseeing the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions & consolidation and finalization of accounts Books and audit thereof across group companies, international subsidiaries and sister concerns

- Implementation & strengthening of IT systems like SAP across group companies, international subsidiaries and sister concerns. Also responsible for complete transition to IT based system

- Responsible for managing accounts and budget of new projects and capital expenditure initiatives; review of project expense on regular basis

- Ensuring design, implementation and evaluation of internal control procedures; review of budgetary control process to ensure achievement of business plans of the organization

- Responsible for assessing individual business unit's performance against the annual budget; develop tools and systems to provide critical finance and operational information to the stakeholders

- Manage transition to stronger accounting standards like US GAAP over a period of time.

- Supervising conception, design and preparation of MIS reports like working capital statements, cash flow, ratio analysis, cost sheets and variance analysis to provide feedback to top management on financial performance for strategic decision making

- Established internal control department to track revenue leakage, ensuring shrinkage controls and audit of retail as per operational parameters to strengthen service standards

- Ensure records are maintained to meet external legal and tax requirements

Qualification and Experience :

- CA with at least 20 years of experience in similar role

- Operating knowledge of ERP packages like SAP, Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems

- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Complete understanding and knowledge of central and state financial regulations.
