Role- Head Accounting
Location- Mumbai
Reporting to- Finance Controller
Direct reporting: 4
Years of experience – 8-10 yrs. post qualification experience in the Product industry with a sound commercial experience. Experience in SAP implementation will be preferred
Education- CA 1st attempt
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for controlling record keeping, and financial reporting.
- Manages overall accounting matters such as accounting, Inter company and budget control
- Works cross functionally as a facilitator between the OTC (Order to Cash)and PTP(Procure to Pay) teams to ensure seamless close at month end
- Does a monthly/yearly closing, calculates and reviews the posting done by the Shared Service Centre according to the GLOM (General Ledger Ownership Matrix), month end closing reporting, review of provisions
- Overall responsible for delivering timely group, statutory, tax accounts and 3rd party direct & in-direct tax compliances
- Ensure BRS review and completeness of payroll entries in close co-ordination with the treasury manager
- Plans, organizes and directs timely and accurate preparation of financial and regulatory reports for management or other external authorities and circulate MIS reports
- Handles Global projects for systems improvement (new version of ERP, changes to chart of accounts etc) independently
- Coordinates and executes the annual audit of financial records with CARM controller /external auditors
- RTR Business Process Owner - responsible for interaction with the shared serviced centre and other streams for resolution of issues in relation to any accounting matter
Must haves for this role:
- Good knowledge of SAP or any other ERP system
- Process and system oriented
- People management skills
- Excellent business understanding
- Sound commercial knowledge
- Operational experience
- Experience in dealing with cross functional interactions at a global level
