Position : Accounts and Finance head

Location : Hyderabad

Package :upto 20 L

CA AND MBA from reputed institute would be preferred

Job Description :-

CHARACTERISTICS:

- This role requires a person who is able to think holistically of the entire accounting cycle from statutory compliance to management reporting, has a good customer service orientation and an aptitude for contributing towards efficient and effective Finance Management.

- This will require strong communication skills to be able to clearly articulate ideas and persuade others to his point of view. Accounting and Management reporting skills will be important as with time management, people and conflict management abilities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES and PERFORMANCE TARGETS :

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including :

- Month and End Year Process

- Accounts Payable/Receivable

- Cash Receipts

- General Ledger

- Payroll and Utilities

- Treasury and Budgeting

- Cash Forecasting

- Revenue and Expenditure Variance Analysis

- Fixed Assets and Balance Sheet Reconciliations

- Tax Reporting and Filing

- Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce on financial reports or statements preparation

- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles

- Maintain accounting controls

- Define accounting policies and procedures

- Coordinate and complete annual audits.

- Drive improvements on systems and procedures. Initiate corrective actions and implement necessary changes.

- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance to guidelines and procedures and accuracy of financial records.

- Establish and maintain fiscal files and good record keeping to document transactions for future reference, tax and financial audit.

- Accomplishes accounting human resource objectives by recruiting, training, assigning, coaching, disciplining employees and communicating job expectations.

- Support Shared Services Center objective

- Closely coordinate activities relating to payment of supplier invoices and employee expenses

- Assist in collecting long outstanding invoices and corresponding tax certificates

- Address issues relating to the accounting operations and highlight issues or concerns with the management and provide resolutions. Be the focal point person for all internal and external clients in India.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES :

- Ability to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

- Ability to work under minimal supervision and working independently

- Ability to work to tight and demanding deadlines without compromising quality

- Good written and spoken communication and presentation skills

- Strong interpretive, numerical, financial and analytical skills

- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations

- Good grasp of US GAAP

- Excellent Statutory Accounting experience

- Ability to liaise with Project Managers and Project Management Office so will need to be assertive in nature

- Ability to direct and supervise

- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, Accounting Software and databases

- Experience in Great Plains ERP is a Must.

Qualifications :

- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or Finance. Master of Business Administration, an added bonus

- At least 8 years of experience in heading Finance and Accounting operations of a Services IT company

- Must have managed at least 5 staffs (payables, receivables, payroll, taxation,treasury)
