Purpose of the Job:

- To hold up application support for all systems used within HDFC Life and derive the below business value for business .

- Delivering operational, tactical and strategic benefits to business.

- Defined percentage increase in productivity through knowledge management and automation.

- Defined percentage decrease Year on Year via proactive correction and detailed Root cause Analysis.

- Improve operational efficiency and reduce cost by decreasing the number and duration of business-critical application outages

- Reduce Cost of Operation

- Benchmark Application performance at branches @ HDFC Life

Responsibilities:

- Review / engineer and govern Incident Management Process

- Review / engineer and govern Change Management Process

- Review / engineer and govern RCA Process

- Review / engineer and govern Release Management Process

- Review existing processes and improvise to suit HDFC Life requirement ensuring no compromise on security or audit.

- Review and dashboard the critical metrics like Application Uptime, Incident details, Application Usage, Achievements under application support, challenges if any.

- Responsible to ensure that all applications are aligned to security norms of the organization like User Life cycle management / Password Policy adherence etc.

- Responsible towards Audit carried out , provide base data and ensure that no critical / high risk items exists and incase they do mitigate and close the same on priority.

- Active role in business partner management , ensure that enough business value is extracted from all business partners and SLA are reviewed tracked and governed.

- Manage the business services budget for all application support AMC's., ensure that payments are duly paid without delay and that there are no variances in the planned budget due to support.Also responsible for bringing the cost down year on year.

- Responsible for driving innovation within the support function. Follow the L Shift by automation and innovation.

- Responsible for software compliance and support to audit team and assisting in ensuring that only licensed software are used on production systems.

- Responsible for ensuring proactive monitoring is done by application support team

- Responsible for ensuring that volume trend analysis is done quarter on quarter and that Capacity forecasting and planning is done in advance to ensure zero impact due to capacity on existing applications.

- Spear head non functional testing and drive and run NFT for all platinum and gold applications as per aging and current volumes.

- Responsible for running strategic projects of the department.
