Project Manager

Main Responsibilities :

Project Lifecycle Management :

- Communicate, and Track Project lifecycle activities from concept, product delivery, UAT, Implementation activities to meet business deadlines and complying to IT governance policies and processes.

- The objective is to create visibility of BSG projects to project stakeholders and complete activities within mutually agreeable time lines through hand offs, sign-offs, updates, and follow-up

Requirement Management :

- Responsible for documenting and getting user concurrence on Functional Requirements Specification, Operations Process Design of Business user requirements through conducting requirements elicitation, analysis, discussions, and sign-offs.

- Ensure that Requirements are captured First Time Right from the user and documented into cost effective, efficient TO-BE processes by reducing process redundancies and deficiencies.

- Communicate to stakeholders through efficient documentation in-order to get agreement on solution meeting the requirements.

Process Re-engineering :

- Observe, Interact with Users, System owners and Document AS-IS business processes in a domain and identify process improvements and pain areas.

- Discussion on Pain Areas with Process Owner, Follow up with Process Manager and BSG Team for implementation of Pain Areas, Implementation of each Pain Areas in the process identified, Update progress of each Pain Area for solution / enhancement implemented, Ensure proper flow of Process post implementation, Document any change / up-gradation of process

Evaluation :

Evaluate options available for automation and implement the correct product from the right vendor. Review and provide feedback / sign off on the functional design and solution. Validate the effort estimates provided for development / implementation of the product.

Quality Assurance (QA) :

- Ensure UAT's are conducted in a through manner and the same translates to quality deliverables. Review test plans being formed to ensure complete system functionality is tested.

- Review test cases of the testing done by team and acquire necessary approvals for movement to production Also ensuring necessary system / operational controls are laid down in order to ensure zero defect rollouts and to achieve Banks initiative to be Basel II complaint

Resource Management :

- Coach the direct reports and BSG Business Analysts on requirements analysis and process re-engineering and QA.

- Motivate Business Analysts to Question the Answers and ideate, think, and design solutions that meet business user expectations. Training resources on the existing systems for over all functional support.

- Help them in gaining functional knowledge on credit risk. Ensure proper work allocation to ensure optimum utilization of resources

Functional Documentation & Compliance

Ensure all systems under purview are well-documented w.r.t. Functionality and all the documents and process is as per IT governance policies and processes of the bank

Requirement :

- Type / Approximate length of relevant work experience required to commence job

- More than 10 years relevant work experience as a Project manager, handling multiple large / medium complex projects.

- At least 5 years experience in Functional knowledge of the procurement souce to pay life cycle

- At least 3 years experience in technical knowledge of the ariba infrastructure and integration layers

- At least 4 years experience in ability to translate business requirements into ariba

- At least 3 years experience in supply chain knowledge of procurement and payable processes.

Professional Qualification / Training required :

Post Graduate :

- Distinctive competencies / Special Skills needed

- Domain knowledge of ARIBA / procurement systems.

- An experienced consultant in procurement process and operations as well as technology design, build, test and deployment efforts for various tools and technologies.

- Functional knowledge of various business processes and process re engineering techniques

- Through knowledge of SDLC and Project management.

Analytical Skills :

- Relationship & Team Building Skills

- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills to articulate complex processes.
