Role summary :

- This role will head the North - East Cluster comprising of eight manufacturing units with manpower of around 700 employees includes indirect employment as well. The role will handle end-to-end Site HR & IR. This is a people management role, based at Guwahati, partnering closely with Cluster Heads on site and HO-HR.

Your role specifications :

- Ensuring site talent acquisition & retention, learning & development, employee engagement, industrial relations, organizational development and cultural integration

- Be a solution provider to integrate local expertise with business requirements

- Ensuring effective planning & execution of key HR processes

Manpower Planning : Annual manpower planning in consultation with functional heads and preparation of manpower budget

Recruitment & Selection : Fulfill requirements based on business plan & attrition rates to ensure constant availability of skilled resources

Performance Management & Compensation : Updating and implementing compensations plans, reward & recognition schemes, HR policies, payroll and communicating them across the plant organization at all levels

- Handling induction/orientation, talent development, employee satisfaction and other key HR processes to support people management decisions

- Defining and applying plans, policies & procedures for greater operational effectiveness & manpower deployment

- Proactively developing long term harmonious/ non-adversarial staff relations. Taking the lead in Employees, Union / Association negotiations. Drafting settlements and ensuring their effective implementation

- Responsible for relevant site personnel policies example time office & attendance, leave management, salary & wage administration, disciplinary policy, etc.

- Responsible for Personnel Administration activities for employees from joining to separation

- Ensuring compliances under various labour legislations, liaison and coordination with all Government agencies and local influential person

- Taking the lead in initiating and executing Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives

- Facilitating TQM, TPM & ISO's requirements with respect to P&A

Skills required :

- Post-graduate in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations

- Candidate should have 8-10 years of HR management experience, with at least 5 years spent working at a plant site

- Experience in handling legislations, local compliances, and statutory audits etc.

- Proven experience in handling Industrial Relations, discussions with trade unions, wage negotiations/ agreements, preparation and application of Charter of Demands, knowledge of labour laws and local statutory compliance

- Should have experience of handling all HR aspects of manufacturing plant with the challenges of a contractor workforce and demanding business partners

- Should have successfully handled IR disputes and executed settlements

- Should have experience of being a strategy execution facilitator and have shown to have improved strategy execution organization & talent strategy and core value management

- Strong inter-personal skills in English, fluency in local dialect (Assamese) will be preferred

- Strong leadership competence, including the ability to influence and negotiate
