A Global Group is looking to hire a General Manager Operations to be based in SE Asia  The Group is based out of Europe, Global leader in the vegetable seeds business. Using advanced breeding technologies, the company creates value for farmers by producing Better Seeds for Better Yield. The company breeds locally adapted varieties that allow farmers to be more productive, increase their income and profits - thereby contributing to agricultural sustainability. The Company Sells 200 billion seeds sold yearly. The company is Asia-based, but with global operations primarily in the tropical zone. They have over 6000 employees globally with 7 R&D centers in different countries.  The SE Asia affiliate is one of the founding markets of the company Globally and assumes a strategically critical position. The affiliate enjoys an undisputed leadership in the country across multiple vegetable crops, there is a need identified to accelerate the change/ transformation agenda of the group, which would help the affiliate to better manage the demands of the transforming ecosystem.  The GM may is required to drive the transformational/change agenda. Key items are more strategic product positioning and value capturing as well as increase in efficiencies in support functions like HR,Finance, Supply chain etc  - Develop and implement strategies to better leverage the market leading position of the company as a Trusted Tropical Vegetable seeds brand, in partnership with local agribusinesses  - Revitalize an organization grown accustomed to market leadership by introducing innovation, taking new initiatives befitting a market leader  - Convert superior products & reputation into commercial results by designing and delivering in close cooperation with overall the group strategy  - Positively impact lives of farmers/ local community while continuously demonstrating a deeper understanding of challenges that farmers face in the region  - Continuously gather data/facts and analyze competitor activities, design relevant go-to market strategies while helping the company to expand and broaden its product range  - Actively seek avenues and opportunities to network with local and national government industry bodies and NGO's involved in improving lives of small farmers  - Build and manage an effective sales/ marketing team while developing team member capabilities and talents and implement a better commercial strategy  - Should have managed a strong P&L - with a successful track record in transforming businesses in a dynamic ecosystem  - Proven track record in uniting people together to achieve larger goals and objectives. An extremely high level of energy with a niche to convert strategies to actions and successfully implement business plans  - Hands on/grounded sales and distribution experience combined with real time experience in managing (preferably turning around) teams with a bricks and mortars background  - Past experience in assessing, defining and laying out structural and talent suitability in alignment with organizational strategy across levels and functions - building a sustainable leadership  - Ability to seamlessly align and integrate self and teams to organization's values is most critical  - Demonstrated success through his/her entrepreneurial mindset in designing and executing sustainable long & medium term business/ commercial strategies  - Experience in building/ liaising/ fostering business relationships with local agribusinesses and provincial leaders  - Ability to foster a strong and collaborative relationship with Global company resources & leadership - cutting across functions, geographies and Group HQ - Global Citizen  - Demonstrated/ consistent record in motivating and managing a team of professionals to deliver results  - An overall relevant experience of minimum of 15+ years  - Entrepreneurial, with a global mindset - yet - rooted to the ground  - Role involves demonstrating to team how to positively manage change and transformation - be an effective coach to team members and support them shift from a certain level of complacency to a proactive dynamic focus on what really adds value  - Highly flexible and adaptable in managing stakeholder relationship and communication - ranging from farmers to bureaucrats to industry peer group  - Sales background especially in strategic positioning and motivating workforce   Interested people may reach out to Anil on 8451801646
