Job Description

- Responsible for Indirect Taxes compliance, SOPs & documentation relating to Manufacturing, Retail, Aviation and Corporate

- Responsible to manage various notices, audits, assessments & litigation and other matters pertaining to service tax and excise

- Has thorough knowledge of Service Tax, Central Excise Law & Procedures and Octroi/LBT

- Should have an experience of drafting appeals and appearing/ representing matters before tax and regulatory authorities

- Should have managed indirect taxation function for a 2000+ Revenue sized company

- Knowledge and experience in working of ERP environment

- Responsible for appearing in Department Hearings, finalization of reply of Show Cause Notices, dealing with Consultants for opinions and litigation matters

- Responsible for Review of agreements and contracts for tax matters

- Maintain cordial relations and sensitively manage correspondence with Government Departments, Tax Officials, Auditors, Customs Officers, local tax authorities, etc

- Manage internal/external audits effectively

- Track tax legislation changes in India and optimize tax opportunities for Raymond, and update Top management and relevant business units on the applicable tax law changes

- Identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiencies and accuracy
