Job Position : GM / DGM - Sales   Department: Sales and Marketing  Reports to: VP, Sales and Marketing  Location: Kandivali, Mumbai  Team Details :   No of Direct Reports : 4-5 & Total Team Size - 18 (both domestic and global sales team)  Job Context and Purpose :  Provides strategic leadership to drive sale of the company's product portfolio across a wide geographic scale including both domestic and export regions, strengthen existing key customer accounts, as well as continually add new customers and expand into newer markets.  Key Educational Qualification :  Engineering graduate (preferably in Electronics / Instrumentation / software) with an MBA degree  Required Experience :  Experience : 12 to 15 years in Business Development and Sales of Automation or Automation software solutions, capital pharma or process equipment, with significant team handling experience. Pharma experience will be preferred  Candidates should have exposure to product strategy, budgeting & forecasting. Candidates with exposure to international sales management, business development and Key Account Management - especially markets such as US, Europe and Latam will be preferred  Industry : Automation, Automation solutions, capital pharma equipment, process equipment  Level Specific Account-abilities :  Business Strategy :  - Translates the BU strategy into a sales plan for company with revenue targets set for different regions within the broad segment  - Manages key customers in both domestic and international market   - Oversees timely collection of payments as per agreed terms to ensure steady cash flow; recommends actions to expedite collections in case of outstanding payments, particularly for high impact accounts  - Obtains market insights related to competitive pricing, credit terms, volume, and innovative techniques as applicable in the specific geographic segment that can be incorporated while framing the sales strategy  - Partners with the team below to convert potential customers and accompanies them for critical meetings to generate business in the long-term  - Assess and monitor reporting headcounts for the best performances and integrate/replace to reach and maximize effectiveness of results  Customer management :  - Develops/modifies systems to effectively capture customer feedback on an on-going basis  - Monitors the team for timely resolution of customer concerns and gets involved in critical issues  - Initiates processes to strengthen customer service in response to customer feedback shared by the team  Cross-functional Interaction :  - Co-ordinates with relevant departments for inputs on setting competitive sales targets for new products, to check techno-commercial feasibility of complex requests such as product customization, new product development etc.  Team Development :  Provides guidance and coaching to the team below in business expansion and management of the clusters  Scope of Decision Making :  - Functions independently to devise strategy for the respective product/ market with broad guidance from business/management objectives  - Takes decisions on complex issues where analysis requires an in-depth assessment of many variables and potential consequences which impact product sale in the region, maintenance of existing customers and attraction of new customers  Technical/Functional Competencies :   - Product Knowledge  - Product Management  - Negotiation skills   - Sales Strategy and Pricing  - Value Selling  - Experience in Domestic and Export sales  - Key account management  - Management of intl organizations  Leadership Competencies :  - Strong influencing skills  - Strong listening skills  - Strategic Thinking  - Timely Decision Making  - Cross cultural skills  - Customer Focus  - Team and People Development  - Drive for Consistent Results  - Leadership Stature and presence  Neha Sharma  Segment Lead | SnapSeaarch, Ahmedabad  M : +918140220022
