Please find the below Job Description for one of our firm client..  Reporting to a Global Sourcing Lead, the Global Sourcing Manager R&D (India based) will initiate, foster, and manage positive relationships with internal customers and external suppliers associated with Hospira’s R & D operations with a focus on Lab Equipment, Supplies and outsourced Scientific Services including Laboratory and CRO services. This person will develop and manage effective relationships with suppliers, including development of performance measures.  - The Manager will source and manage material purchases and services across multiple operating groups and geographies, while residing in India.   - The Manager will be accountable for generating year over year savings, while driving continuous improvement and compliance to all sourcing practices and policies.   - The Manager must understand global and regional market conditions, trends and will be expected to investigate innovative methods to obtain the optimal value from goods and service providers.   - He or she will analyze cost drivers to optimize value, improve the decision making process, and increase the flow of information.  - The Manager will work with the Global Sourcing Lead, R & D and with internal stakeholders to develop global and regional sourcing strategies and will be responsible for category and supplier management, and will conduct requirement analyses and will align strategic direction and expectations between the business owners and the supply base.   - The Sourcing Manager will create competitive bidding situations, lead project teams through the supplier selection process, and lead all pricing and contract negotiations.   - The Sourcing Manager will develop negotiation strategies, including defining team member’s roles and responsibilities.  - This person will also make recommendations to key stakeholders for business process re-engineering to improve efficiency and effectiveness.  Desired Skills & Experience:  Qualifications & Experience:  - 4 year degree required, MBA a plus.  - 5-8+ years experience in Global Sourcing and Category Management for a Global Fortune 500 company.   - Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry experience required.  - Previous procurement experience in clinical trials/outsourcing or scientific services a plus.  - Excellent written and oral communication skills.  - Proven experience in financial / total cost / value analysis to ensure that negotiated agreements provide the best possible returns for the company.   - Superior negotiation and contract management experience, proven ability to negotiate internally and with suppliers successfully while still maintaining strong relationships.   - Strong project management skills, ability to prioritize and managing multiple projects simultaneously.  - Ability to work effectively across functional, skill and organizational levels  - Experience working with SAP desired  Critical Competencies:  - Strong business acumen and leadership skills.   - Must have the ability to prioritize in a challenging environment of competing needs and expectations.   - He/she will be an integrity role model for other professionals and employees in Hospira.   - Functioning in a global, matrix environment, he/she will work well in cross-functional and operational teams, and strive for excellence in driving world class performance and programs.   - He/she will be accountable for achieving performance objectives throughout the year, and will hold others on his/her teams accountable for similar targets.  Ravikant 9581829222
