Looking for Leadership profiles, "Business Development Head - Analytics Practice" One of our client Global IT Services Company.   The Opportunity  Over the past twenty years, Our Client has built an impressive track record and market leadership in the Data Transformation space across a number of industry verticals. The company has developed strong core capability in transforming, managing and analysing complex geospatial, geoscientific and engineering data sets for its customers.  A number of these verticals are seeing rapid growth of data volumes (e.g., Smart Grid proliferation in Utilities) and the emergence of both structured and unstructured data sets. In parallel, their ability to process, analyze and convert data into meaningful insights on their operations, services and customer experience is variable. Our Client hence sees significant potential to offer Big Data and Analytics services to several of its customers and markets and has established an Analytics Practice to support and drive this business opportunity. As it builds out this strategic initiative, the company has identified an immediate role for a Business Development Head. This senior role will own and be responsible for delivering Our Client’s Analytics value proposition to a set of industry verticals, help to define and develop differentiated offerings for these verticals, drive sales activity and customer engagement, and achieve expected business outcomes.  The Role :   - Provide business development leadership for Analytics practice, support the execution of a clearly defined and articulated Analytics strategy   - Identify market opportunities through 3C (customer, competitor, and capability) analysis   - Define Analytics value proposition including offerings and commercial models   - Develop and execute a go-to-market plan with well-articulated customer focus and differentiated service/solution offerings   - Create an ecosystem of partner alliances that brings products/technology and complementary capabilities into development of Analytics services and solutions   - Work with sales resources across geographies to create and drive customer engagement, identify sales opportunities and win business   - Manage a team of pre-sales and operational resources that supports sales and delivery of Analytics services   - Drive marketing initiatives around Analytics including the development of marketing/pitch documents for new offerings, lead generation and events support   - Own and deliver order intake, revenue and operating margin goals and associated KPIs   - Build/reinforce skills and competencies related to pre-sales and service delivery   - Provide regular management/leadership team briefings   - Work to an agreed and defined set of Key Result Areas for the role   The Person :   - Engineering and/or Business Management degree   - Around 18-20 years of work experience ideally in one of Utilities, Aerospace, Transportation, Energy & Natural Resources or Telecom sectors   - Knowledge and market experience around Big Data and Analytics combining a track record of sales/customer engagement with strong understanding of trends and opportunities in one or more of the above sectors   - Proven business development skills that includes conceptualizing and executing successful go-to-market strategies, developing new offerings, building partner alliances, and enabling sales and delivery   - Demonstrable record of executing “win strategies” to convert large clients/deals   - Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities   - Strong articulation skills, highly motivated, ability to think strategically   Interesting!!!
