Job Description - Snapshot :   Who would you support : Sourcing/Purchasing Managers managing R&D categories at a Fortune 100 Agrochemical client. The sourcing managers are located across the globe -US, Europe and Asia  What would be your daily activities : Understand technicalities of request, create RFI/RFP based on technicalities, identify suppliers which can support the request, evaluate responses, drive e-auctions, interact with suppliers and sourcing managers on frequent basis.  Which categories do we support R&D procurement team on :   Toxicology, Development Studies - Ecotoxicology, Environmental Fate, Field Trials etc; Plant Breeding &Molecular Biology; Genomics; Gene Synthesis; Proteomics and so on.  Technical skills that we expect : Technical inputs/knowledge on the above mentioned sub-categories to design and assess purchase related documents.   For e.g.: While preparing a RFP document for toxicology studies types of toxicology studies, quality requirement (GLP) required for such studies etc such technical inputs are expected from the candidate.  Soft skills we expect :   Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills; Stakeholder management across geographies; Project management skills  Skills we can coach - if you don't have : RFI/RFP, e-auctions, Sourcing & Procurement  Tools you need to be proficient with : Excel (Formulas and Pivots), PPT, Word  Requirements :   - BSC/MSC/MBA in Agrochemical background  - Must have R&D work experience in Agrochemical sector   - 1-2 years experience in R&D segment   Overview of few request types that you may support  Example 1  Case : To procure/outsource sequencing services. Scope: Europe.   Responsibilities: The candidate's job would be to identify the suppliers in Europe who can provide sequencing services in line with client's specifications.  Prepare a RFX (RFI/RFQ/RFP) document; Share with identified suppliers to gather requirement specific information and/or costing/pricing from the suppliers;Prepare the summary/overview of information or analysis of quotations received from suppliers and provide recommendations on the suppliers as to who would be the best fit.  Example 2 :   Case : To procure/outsource toxicology studies to CRO's/laboratories. Scope: North America  Responsibilities: The candidate's job would be to identify CRO's or laboratories in North America which can provide toxicology studies based on specifications from client. Prepare a RFX (RFI/RFQ/RFP) document to be then send out to identified suppliers to gather requirement specific information and/or costing/pricing from the suppliers. Prepare the summary/overview of information or analysis of quotations received from suppliers and provide recommendations on the suppliers as to who would be best fit.
