Director of Procurement Outsourcing, GEP Shanghai Office

Domain / Industry Experience:

- Strong domain knowledge and rich experience in Procurement and Strategic Sourcing across industries and various direct and indirect categories in China and APAC region

Role & Responsibilities:

- Develop overall client strategy, manage team and deliver strategic sourcing and procurement outsourcing and other related services

- Responsible for transitioning procurement processes offshore and managing the transitioned process

- Engage and manage clients in China, APAC and rest of the world

- Understand client needs and manage the project delivery as per client expectations and SLAs

- Mentor and grow GEP’s consulting and procurement outsourcing team based in Shanghai, China

- Contribute in various Business Development and Marketing activities to promote and expand GEP’s operation in China and APAC region

- Oversee the HR, Admin and Finance activities in GEP’s Shanghai office

Qualifications:

- 8+ years of overall experience out which at least 5 years in Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Outsourcing services and solutions in China and APAC

- Prior experience with other consulting firms is strongly preferred

- Prior working experience with overseas companies and an in-depth understanding of western culture is strongly preferred

- Be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to embrace GEP’s culture

- Strong business acumen in particular for the China and APAC region

- Prior business development experience is strongly preferred

- Experience in managing large-sized procurement outsourcing or procurement transformation programs

- Excellent communication verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English

- Hands-on analytical skills and proficient in using Excel and PowerPoint

- Ability to lead, energize and grow a team of junior members
