General Manager - Sustainability - Retail

Fortune 500 company is looking for General Manager-Business Excellence for 3 of its retail businesses.

Position : General Manager - Sustainability (Apparel & Retail Sector)

Job Purpose / Key Accountabilities

Development, Program Management and execution of broad-based, company-wide Business Sustainability program for 3 businesses. Develop frameworks for engagement with key stake holders, covering all financial, economic and social dimensions. Ensure execution of the various Sustainability Missions. Provide subject matter expertise on Sustainability related matters to the businesses. Ensure Sustainability is integrated into business plans.

Should have experience in handling budgets of upto 0.5 crores

The impact of the Role is to ensure that Sustainability is, over a period of time, built into the culture of the organization & is well integrated into the business plans

Preferable :

1.energy - could be from vertical like energy audit / renewable energy etc

2.supply chain - could be from any vertical

3.sustainable products lifecycle management

Education: MBA / B.Tech / masters in environmental studies

Experience: 7 -15 yrs

Essential accomplishments/experience

- Operational experience (Sales / Marketing, Sourcing, Operations, Design) of around 5 years, preferably in the Apparel & Retail Sector or Food & Grocery Sector.

- Prior experience in driving Sustainability initiatives in large organizations is desirable.

- Prior experience with Sustainability reporting is desirable.

- Certified CII-ITC Sustainability Assessor qualification is desirable
