Education Required: MBA (Agri Business); MBA (Marketing/Finance) preferred

Job Location: Mumbai, India

Team Size: 8 Direct reports including Product and Brand Managers, Marketing Services Lead. This function will also have field marketing teams reporting

Reports to: Regional Director, India

Experience Required: 12-15 years of overall experience in marketing, prior sales experience will be an added advantage

Interaction with: This position will interact with Product Management & Marketing Services team (his/her direct reports), IT team, Top Management of client organization, Divisional Sales & Marketing teams, Peers across functions who head various cost centers, Consulting Partners, Industry Peers and Trade and Channel Partners, End Customers/Farmers towards developing a brand identity in the market that truly represents the ethos of client organization and prowess of its products

Job Summary: The position is responsible for leading Strategic marketing initiatives for the client organization along with a team of 8 Product and Brand Managers and Marketing Services lead supporting him. The role will steer the organization's efforts towards transforming its image in the market from a sales and channel driven set up to an organization led by well thought out marketing centric approach. This approach is expected to uphold client organization's pro farmer image and establish its already high quality products in the premium segment - a positioning which will carve a niche for client organization's products and brands and help it break away from the clutter of competitor products and firms.

The professional handling this role will be leading these initiatives through deployment of latest trends in analytics and market research. The individual should be capable of directing team/efforts towards gathering market intelligence on competitors; products, customer insights and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing spend towards most optimal outcome for end customers, channel partners and client organization.

Must Have Skills/Expertise :

1. Dealing with Marketing and advertisement agency and understanding of creative communication

2. Bring in Innovation to reach communication to millions of farmers

Technical Skills:

1. The person should have exposure to working in marketing centric organizations and should have deployed the latest in marketing towards creating a niche for product's and firm's brand image

2. Should be analytically very strong - excellent at gathering and analyzing information from different sources and using the same towards drawing relevant inferences for developing strong marketing strategies

3. Should have premier B School background with exposure to developing branding/product positioning strategies for rural markets

4. Should have experience in building a marketing organization, instead of just bringing about incremental benefits through an existing robust marketing team

Soft Skills:

1. Excellent communication skills - High on Convincing People, Articulating Information and Challenging ideas/status quo

2. Good at Problem Solving: Evaluating Problems (Analytics), Investigating issues and Creating Innovation

3. Building Relationships towards achieving desired outcomes - Assertive yet excellent at stakeholder management

4. A Good Leader with ability to make right decisions, Direct people towards achieving deliverables, empower them to achieve goals
