Responsible for technical & operational issues, financial & project management for all modules of SAP

Drive strategic & operational plans for meeting current & future information and technology needs aligned with overall business strategy of the organisation

Maintain enterprise systems architecture; define standards & protocols for data exchange, communications, software & interconnection of information systems

Develop & enforce procedures to ensure the protection & maintenance of IT assets and the integrity & privacy of information

Ensure optimum manning for IT department to support the information needs of the Company

Evaluate & approve Application Development Projects for SCM, HR, GST etc and IT acquisition contracts

Create & manage the IT budgets for CAPEX and OPEX & ensure adherence to it

Manage team performance - set & monitor performance goals, provide constructive feedback; Identify & fulfil training & development needs

Mentor subordinates to move to the next level, develop career plans

Close interaction with Top Management, Business Teams to understand infrastructure requirements, identify applications to be developed & provide support; eg:with Corporate HR on recruitment, training, performance management etc

Continuous interaction with Industry Associations to keep abreast of technological changes and innovations

Connect with vendors for evaluating solutions, negotiating contracts & determining service level agreements; Negotiate timely procurement of critical hardware & software
