General Manager (Sales-West)
Job Profile :
- Spearhead the sales of Crop protection Chemicals in our West unit comprising of the states of Maharashtra & Gujarat through development of market wise sales strategies
- Deliver the Sales revenue and Contribution target for the region
- Leading a team of at least 5 sales Manager and a total team of 50 employees and almost 150 additional temporary field staff during the season
- Set up & Manage Sales & Distribution network across the territories through appointment of channel partners (stockiest,distributor,retailes) and CFA's
- Effective launch of new products and taking marketing initiates in close co-ordination with the Product Management Team
- Initiative to develop a secured collection system
- Maintain strong relationship across functions to ensure a good support system
- Close follow up on the changes happening in the region's agri-business space and sharing its direct or indirect effect on our business
- Responsible for implementing the performance review of his sub-ordinates as well as for the other team members
Person Specification :
- B. Sc ( Agri)/ M.Sc ( Agri) with MBA/PGDM from leading Indian university/institutions
- At least 10 years' experience in Sales and preferable experience in the Crop Protection Industry of west India
Skill/Knowledge/Experience :
- Proven skill/knowledge/experience of sales in Crop Protection Industry
- Client handling skill and Knowledge and experience in identifying and appointing new distributors
- Strong communication skill in all forms
- Should have a strong commercial orientation and drive to achieve the profitability
- Individuals with honesty, integrity and initiative
- A positive attitude to deal with peoples
