General Manager - Procurement - Agri Commodities (5-20 yrs)
Summary : The candidate will be responsible for the procurement, logistics, and finance of oil seeds & edible oils from West African countries.
Location : Lagos, Nigeria and Neighboring Countries
Salary : USD + Local Allowance (Tax Free )
Job Description :
- Identify quality produce and ensure quality control from source to factory
- Responsible to manage and grow supplier base
- Coordinate cross border logistics and regulatory paperwork
- Identify and take advantage of price trends
- Negotiate purchasing contracts for long term supply of commodities
- Provide in-depth market information to management
- Cover major sourcing areas throughout the region
- Create key supplier relationships
- Set up additional logistic arrangements to facilitate commodity purchase
- Ensure cost effective purchasing and inventory management
- Coordinate financing and Shipping documents
Key Skills and Experience :
- Integrity
- Strong Communication and Organization Skills
- Experience in sourcing of Agricultural commodities
- Banking and International Trade Knowledge
- Africa experience preferred
