We have an urgent position for General Manager (Operations) with a Leading Manufacturing group for Vasai office in Maharashtra. Please read the below job details and key requirements carefully before you apply.

KEY JOB DETAILS:

Position: General Manager (Operations)

Experience: 10 to 15 years in operations with demonstrated levels of performance

Annual CTC: 15 to 20 Lacs plus CAB facility (Pick and drop from / to Vasai station)

Qualification: B.E. (Mechanical) and preferably MBA (Operations)

Job Location: Vasai, Mumbai

Key Job Role: Control the complete operations of Playtime Division

Reporting To: Strategic Business Unit Head

No. of Reportees: 5 (Direct reportees) and 20 (Indirect reportees)

Preferred Industries: Preferably from Manufacturing/ Auto Ancillary/ Engineering

CAB Facility: Company provides pick and drop facility from / to Vasai station

Gender Preference: Preferably male (female can also apply)

Job Type: Permanent and Full time

Company: Leading Manufacturing Group

Working Days: 5 days a week (Monday to Friday)

Week Offs: 2 days (Saturday and Sunday)

Job Timings: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (no late sittings usually)

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

The objective of this position is to plan, direct and coordinate the operations of Playtime Division. This position is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

1. Plant Operations / Process and Policy Deployment.

2. Operational Performance.

3. Business Process Management.

4. Quality Management System.

5. Factory Profit and Loss Management.

6. Resource Planning and Control / Industrial Peace Liaison Coordination.

7. Exposure of working on Quality Management Tools.

8. Preferably the knowledge on Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Industrial engineering.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Strategic Input:

1. Process improvement/ re-engineering.

2. Ensuring adherence to quality standards through the implementation of various tools viz. Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TQM, TPM, etc/ strategic utilization of resources/ Improvement in factory profit and loss.

3. Leading teams in executing core production functions planning, estimating future needs, control/ scheduling dispatches & on time delivery activities.

4. Ensuring culture of sustained continuous improvement; exploring system constraints and focusing on eliminating waste in all systems and process through innovation.

5. Extensive experience in overseeing the operations encompassing product design & planning, new product development, material sourcing and supply chain operations.

6. Establishing new set ups/projects, integrating existing plants thereby bringing profitability to the company; implementing management systems/ Business Excellency Module in the organization & ensuring adherence to process polices, by interfacing with other departmental heads.

7. Adhering to the Best Practices; implementing departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output to enhance quality at all stages and improved customer satisfaction.

B. Production Planning:

1. Spearheading end to end plant activities.

2. Working closely with marketing department, prepare monthly production plan and effecting production schedules.

3. Handling all production, planning, Quality and manpower control of plant.

4. Ensuring the on time delivery to customer.

5. Ensuring training and manpower skill development through various measures.

6. Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity.

7. Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery.

C. Project Management:

1. Planning and executing capital expenditure projects.

2. Executing cost saving and energy saving techniques/ measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in operations and maintenance expenditures and work within the budget.

D. Quality:

1. Practicing quality standards with key emphasis on improving quality.

2. Ensure adherence to quality standards and maintaining all related documents.

3. Identify areas of quality failures and take steps to rectify the system.

E. Financial:

1. Prepare and control operational budgets.

2. Control inventory.

3. Oversee costing.
