General Manager - Manufacturing

We are looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Manager Manufacturing [GM-Manufacturing] for our Bangalore TW Plant. It's a level 2 position reporting to Factory Manager.

A brief job description of the role is written below:

Key purpose of the job:

- To ensure smooth functioning of manufacturing activities across the DGBB channels and value added solution, maximize operational efficiency and customer service according to Standards of Manufacturing excellence.

Profile of the job holder:

- Bachelor of Engineering with a Post graduation in Business Management

- Around 15 years of relevant experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing industry of which 5 years should be in management position with proven results.

- Experience of business excellence/Lean manufacturing.

Key responsibilities:

- Ensure profitability in production through efficient cost effective manufacturing techniques based on understanding the costing and profitability factors

- Motivate and Lead a Team to achieve the Production Targets of Efficiency, SLR, Resetting, Quality and Attendance of all in line with the Company Code of Conduct.

- Drive continuous improvement activities in process and manufacturing for profit, quality, customer Service through various initiatives such as six sigma 5 S, TPM, etc for channel group with uniform way of working across all channels

- Manage the performance of channel group operatives; adhere to legal requirements and company policies on employment issues.

- Coordinate actions leading for uninterrupted material flow in shared operations for the channels.

- Adhere to and improve awareness of health & safety and environment issues - compliance with ISO14000, OHSAS and contemporary standards

- Coordinate new developments, new types implementations, new channels introduction and achieve full ramp up in least possible time

- Develop positive team spirit and work climate, encourage and implement actions generated through WCA

- Coordinate communications of weekly, monthly and quarterly planned schedules, regarding scorecard parameters achievements and targets.

- Ensure 100% compliance to Quality standards with Zero Defect as the aim, Coordinate actions for Rejection reduction and Capability enhancement

- Develop the skills and flexibility of the channel operatives support personnel through coaching and training

- Effectively coordinate resources and support and ensure that the responsible channel delivers scorecard results for channel group
