Industry : Manufacturing and Production  Skills : GM Logisitics - Cement Industry  Job Type : Permanent   Description : Support and manage the core Logistics processes by anchoring Sales & Operations planning which include an inter- functional process to share and improve short/medium term department plans by analyzing demand and supply to optimize deliveries, stocks and operating costs.  Joint accountability for pan India Forecast accuracy performance improvement to support effective cross functional business communication.  Client Details : One of the Largest Cement manufacturers in India.  Job Description :   KPI :   - To support the Logistics manager for promoting and developing S&OP culture  - By setting a planning cell of processes, performance matrices and review mechanisms integrated for plant - logistics & sales.  - By coordinating cross functional S&OP process, meetings, bottom up sales forecasting so as to balance them to create a single and achievable plan  - Be accountable for demand planning, Supply & Capacity planning and Executive S&OP meetings  - Establish and build an effective centralized forecast support and system  To Facilitate convergence on a single shared plan :   - By finalizing optimized operational plans with weekly/daily horizon  - Focus on, analyse and resolve possibly existing issues - significant gaps in supply vs demand  - Review all plans, main assumptions, decisions and proposed scenarios  - Improve overall performance as S&OP goal.   - Review performance and action plan of S&OP KPIs  - Coordinate with stake holders to close pending decision  - Lead the annual network optimization process.  - Run the optimizer tool, create different scenarios to minimize the gaps within the Unconstrained Demand Plan  - Plan the Clinker movements, develop an inventory plan and adjust stocking policies if required  - Record key assumptions and decisions on Action log  - Communicate effectively with MHs, Unit heads, and cluster S&OP managers to ensure stakeholder alignment on the forecasting process and agreed numbers  Tasks & Responsibilities :   - Leads and has direct responsibility for execution of S&OP plan  - Prepare a daily schedule and dispatch, conduct a weekly planning meeting and detect early warning availability in case of operation shortfall  - Coordinate the S&OP process to integrate with Management cycle and interact with daily scheduling activities  - Drive the monthly Demand Plan meetings, review key changes to the Demand Plan and their business justification, ensure the sign- off of the Unconstrained Demand Plan  - Work with Sales and Marketing to gather business intelligence inputs into the statistical forecast, identify drivers/assumptions of demand and sales  - Interact and work closely with Supply Planner to ensure alignment with goals and being on track with both short and long term demand  - Facilitate S&OP meetings, process acceptance, ensure effectiveness and discipline  - Promote a fact- based approach, cross- functional collaboration and continuous improvement behaviour.
