General Manager - Legal - Law Firm (8-19 yrs)
- Responsible for drafting and vetting of various commercial documents, Lease Deed, Conveyance, Mortgage Deeds, Development Agreement, Agreement for Sale etc.
- Ensure due diligence is carried out to prove clear title in case of land acquisition, participate in negotiations and drive timely documentation and closure
- Represent the Company before various regulatory authorities/Courts of law for resolution of any legal issues
- Ensure that the business operates as per statutory/regulatory norms and contract terms and thereby no penalty clauses are invoked against the company
- Ensure effective litigation management - identification, appointment and management of external counsel, initiation of legal proceedings and active participation in strategy, research and arguments, thorough knowledge of court procedures.
- To introduce internal control systems (legal audit) to ensure that the set quality standards are maintained and duly observed in the preparation, closure and administration of agreements
- Ensure generation of weekly MIS and closely control and monitor critical transactions
- To update management with relevant legal updates impacting the business
