The incumbent will be responsible for the following but not limited to:  - Pursue strategies, processes and systems of Safety, Health and Environmental throughout the organization.  - Lead effective investigations of all H&S contraventions, oversee corrective actions and promote compliance  - Ensure there are appropriate structures and legal appointments  - Coordinate implementation and maintenance of H&S Systems & Certifications  - Coordinate and prepare H&S reports  - Achieve H&S Objectives through active influence of strategic and operational management  - Measure practical performance against written standards and legislation  - The establishing and maintaining of a Safety culture amongst all workers  - The assurance that the workforce is a safety mature one & complies with the relevant safety legislation   - The assurance that the workforce is healthy, safe and productive and conforms to medical legislation  - The assurance that the unit complies with all environmental related legislation  - Work ethics that are of such a nature that workers continuously strive towards improving their own performance  - The competence of all subordinates to deliver the outputs of their jobs  - The existence of a safe and healthy work environment where workers can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment
