Salary Range - 18-22 LPA (depends on candidates current CTC, its not a constraint for right candidate )

Commodities Strategies

Creating rocurement strategies.

Ensuring the Procurement Strategies are in line with the Business Strategy

Work in close coordination with production, quality assurance and finance teams to ensure smooth flow of materials.

Evolve a network of direct farm and OEM purchases, forward buying, competitive biddings, long-term procurement contracts for Services, spares, fuel and packaging materials.

Develop specifications, standardize purchase procedures and delivery/ acceptance procedures in line with best market standards.

Ensuring good mix of current and forward buying to optimize working capital and space requirements.

Market Intelligence & Forecasting

Market Intelligence through formal & informal sources.

Commission regular receipt of data/ news, analysis of availability, prices, crop trends, weather condition, trade and government forecasts and production estimates, government support prices, import/ export policies impacting company's raw materials availability and prices.

Project and update future prices and availability trends over procurement cycles.

Alerting on any impending risks of availability or prices and helping the business to be proactive.

Trade Relations

Creating an environment of mutual trust, reliability and growing together.

Develop and maintains set of approved vendors.

Agreeing and standardizing trade equitable terms.

Legal

Tracking government policies and rules on procurement and stocking norms of agri commodities and ensuring compliance all the time

Enforcing contractual obligations and settlements in case of any defaults.

Budgeting and Stock Profits

Freezing the procurement budget and prices.

Measuring every week company's procurement coast vis-vis replacement costs and ensuring there are no stock losses.

Ensure that the supplier's bills are always cleared on time as per contracts.

Man Specifications :

The incumbent must have :

Prior experience of handling commodities purchases at a mid-management level in a professionally managed organization using commodities as principle raw materials or else if the incumbent has worked on commodity desk in a large and professional commodities trading/ broking firms. Ideally the person should have worked through a commodity cycle.

Added experience of handling factory manufactured goods like spares, fuel, services like housekeeping and warehouse sourcing and transportation will be beneficial.
