General Manager/Head - HR - Real Estate Division (10-15 yrs)
Primary responsibilities:
Incumbent is expected to set up the HR operations alongside while developing policies and directing generalist human resource activities such as recruitment, selection, talent and performance management, compensation & benefits, statutory compliances, labour relations, training and employee services.
Secondary responsibilities:
- Providing management direction and counselling. Supervising clerical assistant and temporary staffing as needed.
Core Responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership to implement HR strategy.
- Lead and direct the Human Resource team to create a strong people practice within the group.
- Employee Relations managing absence, disciplinaries, grievances, sickness etc. Measure employee satisfaction and identify areas that require improvement
- Performance Management coaching managers on performance management issues and processes
- Learning & Development providing guidance on development for managers and their teams
- Training - Implementing the training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement
- Recruitment & retention - managing talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns.
- Reward, advice and support employees on company benefits
- Policy & procedures implementation of new HR policies, procedures and processes.
- In conjunction with the Business Heads, ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law.
- Ensure line managers are up to date with changes to any policies.
- Working with board members, coaching them and advising on all people issues.
- Deal with complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and company knowledge evidencing appropriate decision making skills.
- Crafting of business and people solutions.
- Managing HR budgets.
- Payroll processing & coordination for all site offices.
- Ensuring monthly statutory remittance like income tax, professions tax, labour welfare and other remittances etc.
- Coordinating with payroll software with corporate for any modification/improvement in payroll system.
- Replying to all employee queries related to HR policies, compensation, income tax, benefit, retrials etc.
- Drafting process documents on payroll, expense reimbursements & loan process as per statutory guidelines & internal process control requirement
- Coordinating with auditors during audit, sending MIS to Finance.
- Identifying areas for improvements in current processes to improve efficiency and productivity
- Looking after all tax related matters pertaining to taxation - Form16, form 24, employee queries and Income tax dept queries.
- Processing settlements of resigned employee's computation of o/s liabilities.
