General Manager - Finance - CA

Location: Mumbai / Kolkata

Role Description: The person will be responsible for leading and managing the accounting and finance function of the company. The person will have primarily strategic along with day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include overall and direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, costing, legal, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance and financing.

Responsibilities :

- To manage the entire finance and accounts function of the company

- Validate financial aspects of all transactions including commercial terms, revenue contracts, costs, contracts, etc Drive cost control within budgets

- Establishing and maintaining proper Internal Controls across the organization

- Compliance of Direct Tax, Indirect Tax and Company Law requirements

- Treasury Management including Effective management of relationships with banks and other financial institutions Expertise in accounting and book keeping

- Should have knowledge of Taxation VAT/Excise & other laws

- Providing leadership on financial and risk management issues

- Ensuring the adherence of Corporate Policies and Procedures

- Experience working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues

- Proven ability to implement and maintain internal control over financial reporting compliance with knowledge and understanding of IGAAP & IFRS

- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in adherence to accounting standards and standards of corporate governance

- Oversee monthly MIS reporting, account payables, receivables follow-ups, payment of taxes etc.

- Develop and maintain finance & accounting policies in alignment with statutory requirements

- Drive the timely completion of the budgeting process and make arrangement for the working capital requirement

- Provide inputs on profit and loss statement to the management

- Review operational and capital expenditure and ensure efficient use of financial resources

- Facilitate internal and statutory audits and action on audit recommendations approved by the management and as per company guidelines

- Set up systems and process for systematic planning and review of Business

- Responsible for driving projects pertaining to PE Investments/ M&A, outsourcing and restructuring

- Develop and implement financial statistical measures to evaluate the existing and future financial situation and make timely recommendations to the senior management concerning major changes in the existing environment.

- Establish challenging goals, lead the team and meet department and corporate objectives

- Contribute to the commercial and strategic development of the business.

- Generating the quarterly and monthly financial reports and any other ad-hoc financial and non-financial reports.

- Analyzing complex financial data to provide accurate and timely recommendations to management for decision making purposes.

- Supporting the senior management and department's heads with in-depth analysis.

- Preparing periodic presentations and dashboards to present to Board of Directors and senior management. - Working with a cross-functional team in generating the non-financial metrics and dashboard.

- Inventory control & reconciliation

- Oversight of the Payroll function for the organization, including monthly payroll processing, driving employee engagement and end-to-end payroll deliverables.

- Financial & Accounting management: Produce Operations fixed cost and variable cost improvement Produce annual financial operational plan and measure performance thereof Detailed P&L analysis and reporting

- Identify and scope Operations finance analysis project improvement opportunities.
