General Manager - Finance and Accounts

Location : Mumbai

Job Summary :

As a General Manager, Finance and Accounting the incumbent will play a critical role in supporting the business in ensuring that the financial goals are met, that management has visibility into future expected financial performance and that the financial processes are sound and in compliance with IFRS accounting standards as well as internal guidelines.

- HE/she will be responsible for the timely and accurate financial reporting, are continuously looking for ways to improve financial results while at the same time maintain or reduce risk to the business and support a broad range of business development and mergers & acquisition activities in India. Strong focus on working capital management ensures that ambitious cash flow targets are met or exceeded.

- He will work actively with the local finance team as well as HQ team in delivering reliable, accurate and timely management information. He / she will work in a highly dynamic and international environment that requires a high degree of flexibility, commitment and adaptability.

Main Duties and Responsibilities :

- Ensure that Finance teams are providing month end closing and all other required management reports

- Work with the Finance Managers to provide full and accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals within the pan India business.

- To ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly financial results (HFM)

- Prepare capital reviews as required by the CFO and/or Accounting and Finance Departments

- Develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures and continually review the process and procedures to maximise impact and efficiency

- Ensure the balance sheets are a fair reflection of the assets and liabilities of the business

- Lead monthly finance update meetings with the CFO and business leads

- Review regularly the balance sheets, ensure reconciliations are performed of all units controlled accounts and explain all balances even if reconciled elsewhere

- Assist Heads of the Department to improve their financial awareness and provide them with relevant financial information for their operations

- Leading general accounting, month -end close and reconciliations of Capital spend, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reporting packs with commentary for all Capex spend categories Coordinating closely with Department Heads in Finance to ensure quality and timeliness of delivery.

- Lead projects to maximize management information system for financial reporting in the Division; Implementation of SAP etc.,.

- Responsible for the consolidation and financial reporting to the Division.

- Participate in core team in planning and implementation of Shared Expertise Centre in HQ.

- Comply with policies and procedures across the division.

The position will be a team handling role reporting to the CFO. Only candidates from Airline catering, Hotels, Airlines need apply

The candidate must be a CA with knowledge of IFRS.
