General Manager - Contract/Commercial

Job Summary :

Industry experts developing commercial strategies & executing them through :

- Creation and positioning of commercial value

- Improvement in terms & conditions from a commercial, legal perspective & creation & protection of up-sell opportunities, Risk Management across the contractual lifecycle

- Monitoring & working with the Core 3, for improved financial (margins, cash, working capital & up-sell) performance of contracts, from the prior SDP baseline, Ensuring governance, through adherence to Sales Directives & applicable RSI & obtaining requisite approvals

- Relationship management for enduring customer relationships & satisfaction, both internally & externally.

- The position requires the Incumbent to handle both pre and post sales contractual matters which include the analysis of Customer RFPs, drafting, review and negotiation of contracts together with thorough monitoring of the performance of signed contracts, until their closure. This position requires the incumbent to work towards maximizing profits and cash flow through effective negotiations; manage risk and be responsible for the entire life-cycle of the contracts.

- In addition to the basic responsibilities enumerated above, further responsibilities include the following:

- Risk Assessment, risk control & management of the opportunities handled right from RFP stage until realization of cash, together with KAM(s) and Core team associated with KAM other internal stakeholders to provide risk mitigation suggestions to West Head, KAMs, Commercial SPOCs and work in collaboration Head of Contract Management for various opportunities.

- Suggest cost effective and efficient business models that are compliant with Business guidelines and business critical terms & conditions. The incumbent is also supposed to have in-depth understanding of different business models used in Telecom industry.

- Develop Strategic Contract Management Plan together with West for the opportunities pursued and extend the same to strategic, Key and Full track deals.

- Work closely with Core Excellence Manager of the Contract Management team and other members of the Contract Management team / other functional stakeholders and ensure compliance to business guidelines and business processes.

- Develop and maintain of high quality relationships with internal stakeholders in West within Organisation and also foster and strengthen relationship towards with the customers.

- Develop and enhance the knowledge, skills and competencies of the team, through a structured and planned development program which shall include professional development and certifications and trainings on core skills.

- Develop and empower areas of excellence/competence centers, within the team, which can in turn assist the Region India team across different contracts; and can also prove to be pace setters for global improvements.

- Foster and nurture high levels of trust and team spirit in both chasing a vision and in daily operations and a high level of competence and professionalism in execution, within the team
