Strategic Leadership and Governance :

- Works with the leadership team to develop and implement the overall business unit strategy in alignment with the Company strategy

- Translates the strategy into annual plan and reviews it regularly; provides necessary support for its implementation

- Constantly oversees and provides strategic guidance to the team below; accompanies team member for key account meetings

- Decides the positioning of various products/brand represented by the business, typically under the guidance from the Directors/CEO.

Financial Responsibility :

- Monitors the fiscal activities of the organization including budgeting (income, sales pipeline, capital expenditure, operational expenditure etc.), reporting and audit to ensure the business area assigned is in alignment with the short-term and long-term goals.

- Ensures the operating cost of running the business is under control

- Ensures cash flow management by monitoring both cash inflow and outflow

People Management :

- Looks to upscale the capabilities of the team below to increase their contribution to the organization

- Leads, directs and motivates the team to effectively communicate the company vision and values, and drive strong performance

- Continuously evaluates the existing structure and make amends to suit the growing needs of the organization

Stakeholder Management :

- Looks to build strategic relationships with key external stakeholders (vendor representative, key customers etc.)

- Networks externally and internally and seeks awareness of industry trends to gather intelligence to support operational and strategic decision making.

Ensures management of internal stakeholders by :

- Informing various developments and decisions to senior leadership and incorporating their inputs

- Providing appropriate support and guidance to the function heads

Process improvement :

- Monitors various systems and processes and constantly revises/upgrades them in line with the growing needs of the business, as it evolves

- Focuses on new product development and timely commercial launch of a product into the market in collaboration with Corporate Innovation Centre.

Scope of Decision Making :

- Takes decisions and resolves operational issues related to Tabletting Business Unit.
