General Manager - Business Development - Oil & Gas Vertical (12-20 yrs)

EXPERIENCED in OIL & GAS - ENERGY SECTOR - OFFSHORE-UPSTREAM EXPERTISE KNOWLEDGE AND HANDS-ON NEED TO APPLY

Duties & Responsibilities :

Primary Responsibilities :

- P&L responsibility of Oil & Gas Vertical

- Dotted line responsibility of Sales & Operations team of the flagship Oil & Gas vertical

- Overall responsibility and ownership of key Principal accounts in the vertical and all their running and upcoming projects in India

Strategy & Relationship :

- Liaise with other executive heads on the implementation of company's strategic and operational plans

- Keeping up to date with economic and business developments and overall business trends

- Ensure that strategic objectives are well understood by the team. Take responsibility of the team's performance and groom the team in best work practices

Operations & Business Development :

- Build and maintain relationships, ensure smooth project management and extend operational support to Principals across India & abroad.

- Develop and lead the business development team in sourcing, managing and implementing new business opportunities

- Act as a bridge between the Customers- needs and Principals- offerings and advising & managing both sides to maintain a healthy relationship

- Conduct competitor and market analysis and develop insights

- Prepare a budget for Board Approval and prudently manage resources within those budgetary guidelines according to Company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines

- Prepare Vertical forecasts and periodic review reports for management's consumption

- Maintain & develop organizational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers and partners

- Represent and/or depute staff for business conferences, trade fairs and networking events

People Management :

- Build and lead an effective and cohesive team

- Recruit for the vertical and train new joinees in organizational culture

- Self-development to undertake a leadership position within 2 years

- Define job responsibilities for individuals and accountable for the team's performance

Legal :

- Coordinate with legal function for preparing contract agreements with new partners /distributors/customers

Principal Accountabilities :

- P&L responsibility of Oil & Gas vertical

- Dotted line responsibility of Sales & Operations team of the flagship Oil & Gas vertical

- Overall responsibility and ownership of key Principal accounts in the vertical and all their running and upcoming projects in India

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelor of Engineering + Value higher education/Executive Training

Additional :

- Good in Project / Time Management

- Knowledge of business and management principles

- Good interpersonal & Communication skills

- Good Networking Skills

- Tact and Diplomacy

- Ability to work collaboratively
