Role Summary/Purpose:

- The position is part of the Finance team at GE Global Servicing (captive entity of GE Capital Retail Finance business) at Hyderabad and direct reporting to Finance Controller.

- The key deliverables includes managing Closing & Reporting, Monitoring Billing & Collections and own all the downstream filings besides supervising Fixed Assets Accounting, Monthly closing entries, statutory deposits audits, internal audits with a flexibility to handle Service tax and Withholding tax matters.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Manage monthly closing and ensuring timely submission of TB both INR & USD to US Team

- Ensuring timely deposit of all statutory due viz., Income Tax/ Service Tax/ VAT/ PF/ P.Tax/ HLWF/ GSPP etc.

- Analyse detailed revenue and fixed expense projections for each plan cycle that includes: Operational Budget, Mid-Year Forecast and Year End Forecast.

- Working closely with Sourcing to review outstanding POs / contracts and validate B2P related accruals, payments and reversals ensuring the delivery of predictable financial results and early warning of potential gaps.

- Manage GL account review for fixed P&L activity and ensure/validate that such expenses are accounted accurately in the financials

- Oversee Capitalization; Updating of Fixed Asset Register; Numbering of Fixed Assets & coordinating Fixed Asset verification and handling statutory auditors.

- Coordinate internal audits, internal audits/reviews.

- Coordinate Service tax filings, refunds, TDS filings and related tax compliance audits.

- Strengthen business controls and improved operations and initiate corrective actions including process improvements.

- Monitoring of weekly Fixed deposit and preparation of tracker to ensure correct interest and TDS booking

- Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Candidate must be Chartered Accountant

- Candidate should have around 5+ years of handsome finance/accounting/FPA experience.

- Knowledge of India GAAP, India Tax Laws and stat. filing requirements.

- Strong critical thinking and solid analytical and quantitative capabilities.

- Preferably have systems experience on Oracle 11i, sub-modules, Discoverer, Hyperion or other GL accounting systems. Expertise in Advanced Excel and other spreadsheet applications is required.

- Willing to work during US working hours if required by business

- Should be self-starter and motivated and willing to take on new challenges

- High level of organization, strong orientation towards planning and ability to prioritize tasks.

- Good interpersonal and communications skills and a keen ability to interact with various internal & external stakeholders including Operations and other enabling functions.
