As a Senior Manager, you will work closely with and manage engineering staff in Hyderabad Development Center and HQ to support the goals and objectives of the business. As a leader, you must be capable of working in a matrixed organization and coordinating the delivery of multiple outcomes concurrently. You will be hands on in terms of design, architecture and development and will lead the team from front in any critical situation. As a people leader, first, and delivery manager second, you must build, inspire and lead the technical teams. Additionally, as a considerable portion of the Compute, Storage and Authentication teams is US based, you must be capable of independently driving against stated goals and objectives in a different time zones.

You will build a world class cross functional Tech Ops team and ensure performance expectations are communicated, on-going feedback is given, and team is delivering on expectations. You will engage with our business partners in Hyderabad Development Center to drive infrastructure initiatives and foster good working relationships. You will manage matrixed teams to deliver against team goals and objectives; define an operating model that works for multiple Tech Ops teams. You will monitor and maintain Infrastructure stability, availability, visibility and capacity to enable the business achieve operational success. As part of the leadership team you would be integral to defining and shaping India GapTech's future technology vision.

Key Responsibilities :

- Stay abreast of trends and advances in IT solutions and monitor changes in the operating environment that affect Systems, Storage and Cloud infrastructure.

- Engage with business partners on projects to assess infrastructure impact and help deliver secure solutions via various technologies and platforms.

- Present possible updates, recommendations, strategic opportunities to local & US leadership.

- Automation - Drive simple and scalable approach to new technology solutions using automation to enable the organization to easily deploy and operate new features, capabilities and functionality.

- Develop relationships with local application development and business leaders.

- Hands on technical leadership to Design, build and maintain the core infrastructure including Virtualization platforms, Linux/Windows Operating Systems, Storage and Authentication technologies.

- Build and manage the automation to deploy and monitor the systems.

Capabilities & Requirements :

- 10+ years of experience in Systems and Storage engineering with 5 years in a leadership position.

- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field.

- Deep understanding of Compute and Storage Hardware, Operating Systems, Virtualization (Private Cloud) and TCP/IP networking.

- Excellent communication and influencing skills including the ability to simplify key messages, present compelling stories and promote technical and personal credibility with internal and external executives, and both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Expertise with configuration management tools (chef/puppet/ansible, etc) and scripting languages.

- Experience in defining KPIs, creating metrics and dashboards.

- Broad knowledge of staple IT technologies (e.g., CI/CD, Networking, Databases, Security, software development, and their related impacts as it pertains to network resources).

- Must possess an operationally business focused mindset and approach.

- Experience with cloud technologies including IaaS, PaaS for private and public clouds.

- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills.

- Experience leading infrastructure and support functions in a multi-brand retail or service organization a plus.
