Key Role and responsibilities :

- Plays a key leadership role in the S&OP process and drives alignment with cross-functional partners such as COEs, Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing and Supply Chain in order to achieve better visibility in made to stock environment.

- Coordinate with multiple teams to develop monthly consensus forecast model incorporating business intelligence, bias analysis and forecast information gathered from Sales,Planning and Supply Chain.

- Lead and facilitate the monthly S&OP process to develop updated short and long term consensus forecasts. Serve as integration point between various forecast predictions.

- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.

- Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.

- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and commercial assumptions.

- Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in the development of inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-ins & phase-outs.

Essential Skills :

- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting, and forecasting methods with understanding of financial and operational impacts.

- Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, and presentation skills.

- Strong interpersonal skills are essential to interact effectively with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process.

- Ability to take lead and work independently in highly unstructured environment.

- Good facilitation skills required.

Experience :

- 5-6 years of experience in a Demand Planning or equivalent role in FMCG

Education/Certifications : Engineer/MBA preferred, APICS or other forecasting certification preferred
