1. JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for planning, development and implementation of the organizations marketing strategies, marketing communications activities for Key Food, Non Food and HPC Brands.

- This position will be assisted by a 4-person reporting team to begin with. Over the next 2 years, as the brand portfolio expands, the team will be strengthened

3. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities Major Activities Performance Indicators

Creating & Implementing - Developing from scratch, a slew of new brands to cater to emerging new opportunities in the Indian FMCG landscape. Several of these brands will be marketed not just in the Group's retail outlets but also in the general trade, to achieve their full potential.

- Implementing comprehensive marketing and communications plans that will build these brands into category leaders; and establish the organization as one of the country's top 3 players in the Indian packaged foods industry by 2020.

Planning & Budgeting - Achievement of financial objectives of brands in the incumbent's charge

- Achievement of Brand Equity targets and other marketing/communication goals

- Implementation of short and long term plans and budgets for marketing; monitoring progress and evaluating performance of team

Strategy - Work with CMO to develop and maintain a strategic perspective based on marketplace for the Food Industry

- Develop and coordinate means to seek regular input from the organization key constituencies (eg. Sales Force, Market Research Agencies etc) regarding the quality of programs and services

Managing - To engage people & Customers in the meaning of the organizations marketing and communications

- Communicating with stakeholders which helps them transform information into knowledge and learning.

- To engage people in process as well as tasks

- To coach people to succeed

4. KEY CHALLENGES

- To establish FCEL as a Key Food Industry Player in India - one of the three largest in the country by 2020

- To work with the country's leading Ad agencies like O&M and Taproot, to develop best-in-class communication campaigns

A. Decisions made by job holders

- Decisions on BTL Spend across the spectrum of brands handled - budgeting as well as creative development and implementation

B. Recommendations to superiors

- Recommendations on new brand opportunities from across the FMCG spectrum (with a focus on packaged foods)

- Recommendations on all elements of the proposed mix of new brands

- Recommendations on all ATL activities - budgets, creative strategy and ideas.

Educational Qualifications

- Post Graduate from Premier B-School

Functional Skills

- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing and communications

- Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills

- Experience in developing and managing budgets

- Experience in overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications
