Key Tasks and Responsibilities

- Steering the accounting team to ensure accurate & timely financial accounting & reporting as per local GAAP and IFRS.

- Lead costs reviews with each of the function and business segment. Understand the cost drivers and follow strict cost tracking mechanism.

- Lead all the finance projects including Ind AS implementation for the group.

- Coordinating for Internal and Statutory Audits; evaluating internal control systems / procedures to highlight shortcomings and implementing necessary recommendations.

- Oversee the treasury back end accounting, treasury policy compliance, ALCO update and securitization / bilateral sale accounting.

- Review, develop and implement internal finance policies, procedures, manuals and also introduce best practices of finance and accounting.

- Design and adherence to stringent controls across all the processes. Involves continuous process reviews, audits, documentation of procedures, implement controls and key metrics.

- Creating various audit reports & building controls to ensure correct financial reporting to internal and external customers.

- Rigorous review of trial balance and ensuring the balances are reflecting the true financial position & performance of the organization.

- Active participation in all new products set up. Role includes setting processes for all accounting and system initiations.

- Drive automation to minimize manual intervention & thus maximize efficiency & financial controls.

- Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline

Essential Requirements

- Qualified chartered accountant

- In depth understanding of the concepts of NBFC accounting / regulations.

- Strong financial background and working knowledge of financial models

- Sound judgement, with a strong sense of personal accountability and integrity

- Excellent communication skills and strong business writing skills

- Takes both an overview and also has an excellent grasp of the detail

- Experience of managing professional finance staff
