Job Description for Credit Policy Manager - Multi-Product - Rural :
Location : Based at Mumbai
Reporting to : Credit Policy & Underwriting Head - Rural

Key Performance Indicators :
Policy and Process Framework :
- Define, document and circulate Credit policy and process in accordance with ROC approved guidelines.
- Interaction with business and allied teams to incorporate changes.
- Track and react to external influence on portfolio- Bureau/rating agencies.
- Do periodical stress tests to ensure necessary actions are taken in markets having sharp movement in real estate prices.
Portfolio Management :
Align/ alter policies in line with :
- Loss forecast, track portfolio performance basis the loss plan
- Business forecast - balance the business and loss forecast, calibrate policies to achieve management numbers.
- Portfolio management activities - based on collection feedback.
- Identify and act upon various risk arising out of credit/process activities.
- Risk mitigation - bureau/rating agencies/collection reports to be reviewed.
People / Team :
- Effective training and timely communication of policy changes
- Manage and supervise direct reports (if any)
Process / Quality Improvement :
- Process adherence as measured by audit ratings, FTR score and TAT are key deliverables.
- Quality as measured by delinquency, bounce rates and loss numbers are key deliverables.
Expertise required/ Domain Knowledge :
- Extensive knowledge of Tier 4 and rural geography markets in unsecured and secured segment, rich on-field experience in underwriting.
- Exposure to multiple geographies and location specific considerations.
- Ability to take wholesome view and deduce patterns arising out of various actions.
- Flair for numbers and an ability to understand processes read balance sheets and understand customer business models.
- Systematic & Meticulous and Ability to perform under pressure.
- Good analytical & logical abilities and Good communication.

No. of years of relevant experience :
- 8+ years in rural financial services, banking, micro-banking, micro-credit rating industry with lending experience, credit approvals, delinquency, analysis, collections, processing, signing bank deals.
- Firsthand experience in policy formulation and tracking is desirable.
Any specific specialization/education :
- Minimum qualification is MBA with specialization in Finance, CA or equivalent qualifications.
