Fraud Analyst - BFSI (3-6 yrs)
Fraud Analyst :
What you- ll be doing : Some of the responsibilities include :
- Developing and implementing effective Fraud detection and prevention strategies to mitigate fraud losses
- Proactively identify fraud detection issues at the strategy and portfolio level and provide analytical/modeling solutions
- Leverage customer data and transactional unstructured data to build risk segmentation and mitigation strategies
- Complete complex analyses identifying authentication strategy and procedure gaps, manage implementation process across all credit life cycles to affect change
- Building fraud models to mitigate fraud, development and implementation of fraud strategies on the portfolio
- Identify portfolio monitoring gaps and build necessary reporting to track the effectiveness of fraud strategy and decision tools
- Work in tight collaboration with credit operations and customer service to ensure business effectiveness of Risk & Fraud strategy
- Work with Technology team to drive availability of relevant data, tools, and infrastructure continue to enhance our fraud detection platform and capability
Experience & Requirements :
- Bachelors/ Master degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field from a premier institute (IIT, IIM etc or equivalent)
- Minimum 3+ years of data mining experience preferably in a risk management context
- Experience in fraud is preferred
- Knowledge of US consumer lending and credit risk management practices - credit card, personal loans, mortgage lending experience
- Expertise in statistical tools such as SAS, R and/or SPSS or related
- Experience in data manipulation languages such as SQL, Python preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
