FTI Management Level Description  - Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline or field   - Leads others to solve complex problems where significant initiative and independent judgement is required  - Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations  - May lead functional teams or projects  Job Summary and Scope   - Draws from FT's internal investment and research resources and models to make portfolio decisions, while also providing an independent perspective on various asset classes, asset allocation models, macro-economic themes and trends, fund managers and products, capital markets and derivative strategies.  - Principal conduit providing perspective and understanding regarding Solutions capabilities to internal and external constituencies.  - Focus on partnering with distribution within geographic region on all Solutions related opportunities and helps steer opportunities through the sales process.  - Works closely with Senior SPM, Regional Head of Solutions, and PRISM (Portfolio Review and Investment Solutions Management) group to help design and implement complex custom solutions portfolios.  - Helps maintain client relationships once on-boarded providing portfolio reviews, market based perspectives and insights.   - Participates in client facing meetings, research and portfolio discussions, new product idea generation, and marketing content development to win new solutions mandates.   Key Responsibilities  Portfolio Management (50%)  - Responsible for qualitative and quantitative research activities, and portfolio decisions related to the asset allocation, manager selection process   - Research activities include identification, analysis, recommendation and monitoring of investment universe  - Maintains discretion on investment decisions for India domiciled multi-asset portfolios. Specific duties include monitoring investment positions and exposures, tracking investor flows, and executing trades.  - Present portfolio positioning and performance to clients, distribution, and management  - Participate in Global Investment Committee meetings and decision making  - Serve as local liaison to Franklin Templeton and third party managers.  Distribution Partnership (20%)  - Partners with distribution channels on all Solutions related opportunities across a respective geographic region.  - Represent FT Solutions capabilities, investment philosophy, process and strategy in support of winning new portfolio mandates.  - Help steer all new business opportunities through Regional Head of Solutions and PRISM (Portfolio Review and Investment Management) committee.  - Work with Marketing & Product Management to fill out RFPs, provide insight to pitches and proposals as well as gain approval from the GPC.   Define client-specific investment solutions (15%)  - Works with client to develop a customized solution with guidance from Senior SPM, Regional Head of Solutions as needed.  - Collaborates with assigned portfolio manager to determine most appropriate portfolio structure given client objectives and guidelines.  Client Service and Retention (10%)  - Act as a conduit between FT Solutions and distribution channels within Global Advisory Services (GAS) to service and retain clients.  - Meet with existing clients to provide periodic portfolio reviews and updates.   Marketing Support (10%)  - Contributes to the creation of custom marketing materials and content to reflect FT Solutions appropriately  - Provides commentary and investment insights to help articulate the investment team's perspectives regarding financial markets and fund performance  Product Development and Strategy (5%)  - Supports product management initiatives and roll-outs across the respective geographical region via training of internal and external distribution partners.  Education   Required BA required, MBA or advanced degree in related field required  Licenses and Certifications CFA  Years of experience   - 7-10 years of industry experience, with a preferred area of focus on Solutions or Multi-Asset Strategies.  - Prior experience in a business development role, with a preferred focus toward institutional clients.   - Prior experience as a Research Analyst or Portfolio Manager.  Skills   - Portfolio construction and management  - Understanding and application of key risk management concepts  - Ability to clearly communicate complex portfolio topics to a variety of audiences  - Quantitative modeling skills preferred
