I. Job Summary

About Client Insights

- The purpose of the Client Insights (CI) team is to create a competitive advantage for FTI with actionable insights to better connect and engage with financial advisors.

- The team of ‘Trusted Advisers’ work in close collaboration with Marketing, Sales and Technology teams to inform and guide strategies with data-driven insights that increases efficiencies, expands market share and deepens relationships with customers. The CI team is focused on building a ‘Center of Excellence’ in reporting, measurement, optimization, 3600 view of the customer and marketing analytics. The CI team is also focused on building scale to support FTI business globally.

About the Role

- The Digital Media Analyst will help continue our expansion in our Digital Analytics function. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of digital metrics; both from a brand and direct response perspective as well as a track record of successfully building analytic approaches across a broad mix of digital channels, including Social, Digital Advertising, Web, mobile with special focus on integration of these channels with the legacy channels like e-mail, targeted literature, sales coverage etc

- The Digitial Media Analyst will work closely, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders from Sales, Marketing and Technology teams to support reporting, analysis and connect actionable insights to business strategy.

Insights & Analytics

- Work with business stakeholders to define cross-digital channel measurement strategies based on business goals, which will translate into KPI’s, while clearly defining the impact that the strategy will have on measuring against business goals

- Analyze data from multiple sources, across channel, including social, mobile, web , display and SEM marketing to provide a more holistic view of the customer, identify quality leads and actionable insights.

- Develop relevant measure and benchmarks and KPI to demonstrate the incremental value of marketing activities and ensure insights are actionable and aligned with overall financial and business goals

- Manage rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses; evaluate the effectiveness of multi-channel marketing programs (which include web, email, direct campaigns); identify key touch points and factors that influence and predict customer behavior

- Pursue customer profiling, segmentation, lifetime value, attrition/retention, acquisition, lead generation, and forecasting research projects that strive to increase customer share, revenue and company profitability

- Develop a deep understanding of our customers, based on market trends, investor behavior, competitors and local dynamics to inform and guide Marketing and Sales tactics, including campaign and key messages

- Use analytical and experimental design techniques to test hypotheses and validate targeting and segmentation strategies.

- Develop recommendations and implications to guide decision-making for marketing and other business partners. Consult on analytical aspects of campaign strategy, test design & tracking.

Reporting, Planning and Team collaboration

- Leverage knowledge of database, statistics, applied mathematics, and risk dynamics to enhance the accuracy of customized models and related forecasts

- Develop and provide routine and non-routine reports of complex scope using multiple reporting systems.

- Solid understanding of all active data sets, tables, libraries, data locations and update frequencies

- Extract data from appropriate sources in a complex warehousing environment. Require in-depth knowledge of data elements.

- Perform complex data processing (e.g. merging, sorting, data transformations) using SAS, Access, or other ETL tools on PC

- Analyze data and develop creative solutions. Ability to provide ongoing updates via written and verbal communications

- Identify and analyze key performance metrics and trends.

- Establish, implement and maintain best practices.

- Develop an open, collaborative approach to working with other analysts within the Client Insights team, with particular emphasis on collaborating with, and supporting team outside of Client Insights

- Develop recommendations and implications to guide decision-making for marketing and other business partners.

- Consult on analytical aspects of campaign strategy, test design & tracking.

- Drive the adoption of principles of client analytics by championing new techniques and approaches that will best utilize available data to answer questions and challenge the existing mindset

Desired Skills and Experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- 2-4 years’ experience in Digital Media Analytics

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field (tier 1 or 2 institutions), or equivalent combination of education and experience

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

- Financial Services experience, preferred

- Strong use of databases/technology skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

- Candidate must possess good communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact with various levels and functional groups.

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

- Strong experience in marketing analysis, campaign management and customer segmentation

- Can develop and produce routine and non-routine reports and analysis intermediate to complex scope.

- Interpret reports, providing analytical commentary and recommendations for change.

- Demonstrates an intermediate to advanced ability to perform mathematical calculations and analysis.

- Strong knowledge of working on databases, BI tools like BO, Cognos, Microstartegy and visual tools like Tableau

- Experience with SEM, SEO, and Social Media tools eg. Radian6, web analytics tools like Google Analytics and Unica NetInsights

- Microsoft Office skills:

- Advanced: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

- Intermediate: Access, Visio, Project

- Work is performed under very general direction; participates in determining objectives of assignment; work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives

- Develops solutions to a variety of problems; ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives

- Collaboratively consults with other marketing leaders to support strategic business needs while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, programs, and infrastructure.

REVENUE/ NON-REVENUE GENERATING

- Help define and implement measurement strategies to understand the financial impact and ROI of marketing efforts, including driving revenue, cross-sell and reducing costs
