Our vision is to be $20 billion Company by 2020.   Yes, we have great plans for the future, but we have come this far in a short span of 6 years, largely because we have stayed focused on hiring and retaining the best talent and offering our employees great opportunities for learning, skill development and growth.   Flipkart’s vision is to be the most preferred destination for ALL shoppers in India  Position: Strategic Planning - Supply Chain   Location: Bangalore, India  Position Background:  Roles and Responsibilities  - Translates business vision to set supply chain strategy and builds the organizational support and infrastructure needed to achieve them, including development of service delivery offerings in collaboration with the leadership team for the assigned vertical  - Collaborate across functions and give deeper insights into the dynamics of business through the development of disciplined and thorough sales, marketing, and customer analyses.  - Continue to develop and implement standardized strategic planning tools to foster consistency over time and across projects.   - Initiates and oversees business transformation and productivity initiatives in a manner that systematically improves operational execution and delivers excellent customer experience  - Develops plans, budgets, and necessary resource allocation and enables mid-course corrections based on ever-changing business needs  - Leads, inspires and develops a talented team that supports the strategic and future needs of the business and drives for efficiencies and improves effectiveness  - Leads large scale change management initiatives across geographies with best practice methodology as a framework and requiring substantial re-engineering of current systems and processes  - Leads the Business Strategy & Transformation team in the design, planning, optimization and implementation of new operational process workflows that support Flipkart's growth initiatives, new products and services  - Defines an appropriate cost-effective workflow process and level of design detail to achieve project goals. Estimates work hours to generate project deliverables and support the design team.   - Ensures the quality, accuracy, consistency and completeness of overall work as to process engineering principles, compliance with established standards, procedures, codes and ordinances; adherence to project schedules; and provides adequate training, technical and administrative guidance, and instruction to personnel within the department.   - Develops Process strategic business plan in concert with overall company planning efforts involving technical/regulatory activities required to achieve long range and annual goals and objectives. Assists in on-going strategic planning for the entire company.   - Performs various personnel functions that involve hiring, performance appraisal, salary position recommendations, and employee development. Plans and schedules work for the department ensuring the proper and effective distribution of assignments and manpower, space, and facilities for subsequent performance of duties  - Evaluates and initiates the necessary training of the Process Group to ensure pertinent technical competence, acceptable social/communication skills, and personal development of leadership.   - Determines resource and financial needs of the unit.  - Develops departmental policies and technical standards and procedures.
