Flexing It-, founded by Chandrika Pasricha (IIMB graduate, ex-McKinsey), is a curated discovery and market-making platform for short-term, flexible skills. Our platform - www.flexingit.com - is an online marketplace that connects organisations to professionals and expertise on an - on-demand- basis for projects, consulting assignments, advisory roles and part-time resource needs using an intelligent heuristic, FlexScore .

Our aim is to be the biggest platform for freelancing and project-based work for higher-end skills, leveraged by millions of independent professionals and organisations that need their skills. About the founder :

Flexing It- has been founded by Chandrika Pasricha, who has over 17 years of consulting experience, the bulk of it with McKinsey & Co. Over the past few years, she has operated more independently, consulting with leading organisations in the Healthcare and Development domains.

Manager, Business Development - Delhi/NCR

Who are we looking for :

We are aggressively scaling-up at Flexing It- and are looking for a Business Development Manager to support us in building out the franchise and grow the - demand- side, i.e., pool of quality projects and assignments on the platform.

Some of the qualities we would look for are :

- Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit

- Solid analytical and problem solving skills

- Proficient with MS Excel and Power Point

- 2+ years of work experience in consulting or business development

- Strong communication and inter-personal skills

- Personal and professional integrity

Key responsibilities :

The specific responsibilities will include the following :

- Developing and managing the outreach strategy across various segments of corporate users, i.e., MNCs, start-ups, investors, developmental organisations

- Providing input into developing targeted value propositions for various segments of corporate users

- Providing client support to ensure a seamless experience and growing repeat business from existing clients

- Staying up-to-date about any upcoming relevant events, conferences and seminars, attending the same

- Attending meetings with the CEO and independently, pitching the concept, managing follow-up, and making sure potential users questions are answered

- Thinking through and initiating discussions for strategic partnerships e.g., with industry associations, universities

- Managing his/her BD pipeline - tracking communications, success rates, etc.

- Identifying ideas for new features, and new products and services based on interactions with users

- Refining the outreach strategy jointly with Business Development and Marketing teams based on data on skills, usage patterns, success rates for different types of roles and organisations

Given that this is a self-funded start-up, candidates should expect compensation with a high variable component.

The role is based out of Delhi.
