Analytics Experience : at least 75% of overall

Experience leading Analytics teams: at least 5 years (hiring, career development, appraisals etc.)

Reports into: General Manager Analytics

Role overview:

- As a Senior Manager - Analytics, you will be engaged in multiple projects around Banking Analytics. These projects includes analysis like - customer acquisition/attrition prediction, customer next best product, next best action, customer lifetime value, customer relationship optimization, relationship based pricing etc.

- You will be leading a highly motivated team of analysts generating actionable insights using data mining and advanced statistical techniques for various projects across the globe.

Key Responsibilities areas:

- Work closely with the senior executives (internal and external) to build and deliver actionable solutions with measurable benefits/ROI using advanced analytical methods (both predictive and descriptive).

- Apply strong consultative skills in addition to quantitative (and statistical) ability to harness customer data in order to address business problems that materially impact client’s business.

- Demonstrate deep understanding of analytical methodologies across customer lifecycle in retail banking and payments domain.

- Can evangelize Analytics solutions, artifacts, models, frameworks and can work with team to develop the right set of models, solutions based on the clients requirements.

- Can communicate with analysts and challenge statistical approach, and provide suggestions and guidance on way forward.

- Develop business cases including defining benefits targets and realization strategies from data driven benefit realization.

- Deliver and present analytical results and recommendations in a meaningful and effective way to key stakeholders at senior and CXO level.

- Handle multiple projects with different priorities and effectively guide the team and manage career development of the team through the same.

- Work under minimal supervision and display strong independent behavior and situational leadership.

Requirements:

Need to Have:

- Post-Graduation in Finance / Maths / Stats / Econometrics or MBA preferred.

- At least 7+ years of experience in analytics domain.

- Sound knowledge of applied statistics / econometrics and data mining techniques.

- Prior Experience in Retail Banking / Payments or related domains is mandatory.

- Proficiency in analytical tools like SAS and/or SPSS is mandatory Person has been hands on in the initial part of his/her career.

- Current / or previous hands on experience in generating structured insights from big data – collected from different sources and formats.

- Business acumen and ability to translate data insights into meaningful business recommendations.

- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills and adaptability to different cultural environments.

- Demonstrated leadership skills. At least 5+ years leading and cultivating Analytics teams.

Good to Have:

- Exposure to retail lending, savings and credit cards domain. Cross industry experience is also valuable.

- Exposure to business discovery tools like QlikView / Tableau.

- Exposure to Big Data platforms / technologies – Hadoop, HIVE etc
