Job brief:

We are looking for a highly qualified Legal Counsel - Contract Reviewer- to oversee the legal aspects of our business.

Responsibilities:

- Directs activities concerned with contracts for purchase or sale of equipment, materials, products or services; develops and negotiates contracts and purchase orders for goods and services.

- We are looking for a lawyer to provide support for contract review and drafting.

- Contract Negotiation

- Maintain the contract control database and monitor and report on contracting status;

- Reviews and determine acceptable proposals for conformity to contract requirements; accurately summarizes key terms in all appropriate proposals/contracts for customers in India & Vendor Agreements in APAC.

- Advises other departments of contractual rights and obligations; support internal and external inquiries.

- Provides post-contract support and review of all commercial and vendor contracts for India team,

- Administer contracting standards and processes ensuring compliance with policies and procedures while finalizing contracts for execution.

- Act as liaison between sales department and company's clients; interacts with and supports management for new projects, while taking ownership of the contracting role.

- Working closely with compliance, procurement and other corporate and financial staff within the organization.

- To ensure execution of all appropriate documents pertaining to the transaction within the stipulated timeframe and in compliance with local legal requirements;

- Report contract status position to US corporate team on monthly basis:

- Preparing templates relating to specific engagement and taking sign off from US corporate team.

- Assist the internal stake holders with legal opinions, drafting notices and on need basis seek external counsel opinion.

Requirements:

- Degree in Law

- Proven experience as a legal counsel and Contract Reviewer/Contract Negotiation in a business environment.

- Excellent knowledge and understanding of contracts and procedures.

- Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.

- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

- Sound judgement and ability to analyze situations and information.

- Outstanding communication skills.
