Financial Controller - Private Equity Firm (6-8 yrs)

About our Client: Our client is a Leading private equity firm which is well positioned for the Indian investment climate. The management team's expertise spans asset management, transaction structuring, investment strategy & advisory. In order to accelerate growth and bolster the leadership experience, the client is looking for a Business Controller who monitors the finance function
Job Description: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic perspective involving returns maximization and risk control
- Adopt tactical initiatives encompassing tax, regulatory & reporting
- Continuous liaising with tax consultancy, audit and law firms
- Consolidation of financial data and provide inputs on financial health of the firm
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles (IFRS & IGAAP)
- Variance analysis leading to corrective budget actions and expense monitoring
- Enforce internal controls, policies & procedures and give direction on viable financial decisions
- Oversee complete audit trail of expenses incurred along with expense control
- Apart from being a functional lead, the role would also entail the controller to oversee the administration team ensuring the function is operating sound with regards to vendor policies, department expenditure regulation and compliance on SOPs.
The Successful Candidate:
- You are a Qualified CA/MBA with 6 to 8 years experience within a Financial Services setup having strong experience in tax, audit and financial control
- Prior experience in working in a PE/VC setup or a Big-4 firm will be preferred
- Experience of leading and motivating a multi function team spanning across various geographies handling multiple regulatory environments is required
- The person needs to be a self-starter with minimal supervision and should be self-motivated to grow the organization
