About Role

Finance Controller will play a critical role in partnering with the Management in strategic decision making and operations. This is a tremendous opportunity for a finance leader to maximize and strengthen the internal capacity of a well-respected, high-impact organization.

Qualifications:

Strong academic background (CPA, CA, MBA or Equivalent)

Strong project management and Eye for detail

Exposure to business forecasting, planning, analytics and complex documentation processes

Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills

Highest levels of integrity, independent and self-motivated

Ability to work independently and remotely. Ability to work with distributed teams using latest collaboration tools like skype, cloud etc.

Good to have exposure to investment banking, fund raising etc.

Responsibilities

Senior most finance role in the Company

Help structure and manage overseas entities and operations

Regulatory Compliance - Doing a health check of the Company from a stat compliance standpoint across each of its locations. Practical understanding of labour laws, corporate laws, ROC, Indirect and Direct taxes, Shops and Establishment laws is needed. Ensuring all laws, procedures, on time filings, accurate submissions and all reporting tied to core financials, shall be a key responsibility

Financial analysis of the balance sheet, working capital, cash flows

Maintaining books of accounts as per GAAP

Leading a team of 2 accountants in Bangalore

Working closely with auditors and tax advisors and ensuring 100% clean audits and certifications

Working closely and proactively with sales and operations to ensure proper closure and collections from billing

Ensuring revenue and expense recognitions is strictly as per GAAP

Pro-actively communicating all financial and business risks, bank limits to senior management for proactive actions

Bank reporting, Lender reporting, Venture capital reporting

Liaising with banks for funding and fund management

Monthly billing to customers

Organizing and managing daily, weekly and monthly cash processes - such as collection calls, customer follow ups, billing, sales dashboards etc

Month close including payroll and tax transactions

Query resolution of vendors, customer and all other stakeholders

Best practices on controllership from other global organizations

Experience working in a multinational IT and ITES Companies. Preferably in a US based Software Company which has subsidiary in India or other countries.

Experience as Board of Director in Indian Private Limited company.

Should have helped the company to go through Transfer pricing study and all regulatory requirements

Through knowledge on Indian company laws, accounting practices and US accounting laws.

Good to have experience on successfully closing funding from Indian or US Investors.
